Why are names important? When you are named at birth, that name is yours for life (unless you decide to change it).  Simon had Jesus change his name to Peter.  This was so that he would know that he was the stone or Rock of Christ’s church at that time.  Emmanuel is a name we usually associate with Christmas time, but it should not be.  When we need Him, we need to remember Emmanuel – God with us.  He has never gone away and is even closer at those times we feel alone or troubled.  During these times we need to remember that God is with us always – Emmanuel!   This Sunday is the 12th Sunday after Pentecost.  Brother Michael will preach from the gospel of Isaiah 7: 10-16.  The Sermon is titled “What’s In A Name.”  We will have a special reading from Julianna Long.  Join us on Sunday and please invite others to “Drive-In” and attend our service.   The order of worship is attached, click on the link above.  See you on Sunday at 10 am!
